Our Story
My name is Andre, and I’ve dedicated most of my adult life to hard work and learning new skills in the general labor industry. My journey began at 16 when I attended Youth Building Alternatives in Portland, Maine, a vocational school where I earned my diploma while learning carpentry and hands-on construction skills.
Over the years, I worked for moving companies throughout the East Coast, gaining experience in residential moves, apartment moves, and long-distance relocations. During that time I developed a reputation for providing careful, efficient, and stress-free moving services. Customers frequently complimented my work ethic and attention to detail, which eventually inspired me to start my own local moving company, Portland Maine Movers.
Today, Portland Maine Movers proudly serves Portland, Westbrook, Windham, Gorham, and communities throughout Southern Maine. Our goal is simple: provide reliable, affordable moving services while delivering the level of care and professionalism people deserve when trusting someone with their belongings.
While moving is our primary focus, we also understand that relocating often comes with additional challenges. That’s why we offer helpful services such as labor-only loading and unloading, furniture moving, and assistance with preparing homes for moving day.
